Default Crash/Reboot Further Findings

Make sure that your memory is the same speed(timings). Also make sure it is the same manufacturer. I put two 2700's in my machine (different manufactures) guildwars cant handle this and produces a nasty error. There is also the possibility that guild wars is very sensitive when dealing with 2+ sticks of memory on a machine.

Make sure you have sufficient power in your system to deal with all the things in it. I believe this is the sorce of the nasty (popcorn) effect/lag that I got. Possibly disconnect some things. I just purchased a brand new 450watt power supply just to be sure. Seemed to fix this issue.

The auto Reboot I believe is strictly a memory issue. That being said i have an nforce2 board with and AMD 3200+ just like the other people having the problems. But, after tweaking the amount and kind of memory in my system i was able to fix this issue.

I too have noticed that the CPU is running 100% while playing the game. But, im thinking that this is normal.

It does not appear that people with other chipsets are having as many problems as the people with the nforce's

Other things to consider:

1. Make sure your nforce drivers are up to date.(if applicable)
2. Make sure your video drivers are up to date
3. Check your Run/msconfig see if something you dont want to loaded
on start up is being loaded.
4. Defrag if you havn't
5. Your computer may stink.

Popcorn? Do you mean your sound? Yes, then it's probably your power supply.
I have a 550 Watt PS myself, used to have that crackling with my soundcard. Yet again that could be becouse your FSB spectrum is on in bios, which isn't needed anyway.

You can turn off auto reboot in windows, btw.

You need to update all of your drivers first, not just the video and motherboard drivers. Also make sure you have DirectX 9.0c

That figures. With most games, you can't even install them without the latest directx.

Okay, this is getting serious now. It wasn't much of a problem at first, but now it's rediculous. I literally can't even do one mission before restarting. I'm defragging tonight. Can anyone here help me find out what drivers I need for my motherboard? How do I check what I need?

Default thanks

thanks for the tip, I was crashing every 5 minutes or so. Just took out 256 Ram I put in before Xmas (leaves 512mb), It was slightly different If I remember rightly.
Don't want to get to excited but I've just been playing for 2.5 hours without one crash.

GW seems to be quite particular !!

I dunno if the 100% is normal.
Most games only take up 98% at most.

Default ok.

The lag issue has returned. Players are teleporting around the screen. There is no walking. This issue is very very odd. It comes and goes.
